The latter half of this week I have been working for Pete Hill on one of his Summer Mountain Leader Training courses.

Thursday was a productive day for the six candidates to consolidate the skills they had been learning earlier on in the week as well as look at some new topics.  With the weather providing blue skies and a light breeze the discussions were gladly met with a sit down in the sunshine amidst the work on steep ground.

On Friday and Saturday we were on expedition enjoying more sunshine.  The chilly breeze gave way to snow on the last day which sped up our moments from the campsite high in the hills.  All in all the group did very well and had a good skill base to work on in their consolidation before assessment.  They also handled the hostile weather in the morning after a late bedtime from night navigation.
