Moving on from bottom roping; the Learn to Lead climb indoors course offers lots of new opportunities for developing your climbing. Learning to lead climb opens up many new routes at your local climbing venue and is often used as an intermediate step to beginning your Lead climbing career outdoors.
Having been involved with the management, advice and training for climbing walls since 2005 not only does our Learn to Lead Climb course offer a professional and fun approach to learning to climb and using indoor walls but also offers a broad variety of experiences with various venues.
Get out and try Rock Climbing! Whether you just want to try it for the experience or are looking to take up the sport a day out on the rock will give you a taster of the excitement and enjoyment involved.
Take your friends or family along to share in the experience. Alternatively head out on a ratio of 1:1 to get even more climbing under your belt.
The course is a half day alternative to the normal Try Rock Climbing. It caters for up to 4 people and is priced for the half day.
By taking a progressive approach over four weeks our sessions ensure that your climbing ability and fitness are set to improve. These sessions build on the one off climbing coaching sessions to deliver a longer term series of coaching sessions and development plans tailored to each participant. They are guaranteed to get improve your fitness and get you psyched for more!
Sessions are suited to the climber and progressive plans are discussed to cater for your lifestyle.
The program includes 4 x 1.5 hour coaching sessions spread over 6 weeks. The initial session includes a personal review and plan. The following 5 weeks are used to work to the aims and objectives set without the need for a coach. The scheduled sessions are used to increase performance and enhance the development plan as you improve.
Experiencing Scotland and indeed the UK’s finest climbs and ridges could not be easier with our Guided classic climbs and Ridges days out. Leave the technical aspects to use as we take you on an exciting journey up climbs like Tower Ridge on Den Nevis, Agags Groove in Glen Coe, Fingers Ridge in the Cairngorms or along ridges such as the Anoach Eagach or An Teallach.
Munro baggers and hillwalkers looking to access some of the more challenging mountains of Scotland can do so under your guidance without having to learn lots of new rope techniques.
Rock climbers that may not have the existing skill set or confidence to take up the challenge of a big mountain climb or scramble can tock off a route that they have had their eye on.
Getting past the initial learning of climbing outdoors and becoming self sufficient follows an Introductory course. If you wish to progress your climbing experience into Lead Climbing and at some point Multi-pitch climbing an Improvers Course is ideal as a natural progression.
The Improvers Rock Climbing course builds on the existing skills of climbing outdoors in a bottom and top rope situation to introduce Lead climbing and more complex anchor setups.
Lead climbing is a lot more of a serious affair than bottom or top rope climbing with regards to risk. We embrace this and ensure that our teaching methods and each client’s safety are paramount and of the highest quality.
Being out with your partner on the crag when something doesn’t quite go to plan can be a daunting thought. Using techniques that many of us already know and adding in some creative uses of the equipment carried we can solve these issues should they arise.
